I can't figure out how to reset my furnace limit switch...?
It's a Lennox G50UHi series. This happened once before and i called a guy in to fix it he just entered a code to reset it one of those on, off, on, on, off, type of codes. I just can't find anything on the internet or in the book it came with... I also know very little about this sort of thing but don't feel like paying 70bucks for a guy to reset it.
The reason the limit switch tripped is because dirty filter witch I have fixed. The furnace is only 6months old so auto lite and all the stuff.
There is probably a reason why the furnace trip.
WHY ?
Too high of furnace temp
Heat exchanger leak . -> Carbon Monoxide poisoning
Blower failure. that lead to high temp on furnace.
Pilot light off
Exhaust pipe stuff with bird nest ?
Find out first before hitting reset button .
Three Mile Island happen because operator just ignore warning light and hit reset
Make sure you get the $70 worth. stick with tech like white on rice. and make sure he perform all the check . and not just hit the reset button
